Driving College & Career Readiness: Spring Momentum Across Texas Districts

As spring unfolds, school districts across Texas are entering a crucial season—one where the push to prepare high school seniors for life after graduation takes center stage. Economic Mobility Systems and CC Solutions are proud to be supporting K–12 leaders with the data, tools, and strategy they need to improve college, career, and military readiness (CCMR) outcomes for students statewide.

In partnership with forward-thinking district leaders, we’re seeing real progress. From innovative dashboards that track postsecondary readiness to student-led initiatives that inspire entire communities, here are some of the key highlights from across the network this spring.

Gainesville ISD Superintendent Appointed to TASA Executive Council

Dr. DeMontes Stewart, Superintendent of Gainesville ISD, was recently appointed to the Texas Association of School Administrators (TASA) Executive Council. With more than two decades of educational leadership experience, Dr. Stewart has championed initiatives that prioritize student achievement and innovation. Under his leadership, Gainesville ISD has used CC Solutions to significantly improve CCMR performance—91% of the Class of 2025 is currently meeting CCMR A–F indicators. His appointment is a strong recognition of the impact local leadership can have on statewide education outcomes

Arlington ISD Launches Real-Time TSI Readiness Dashboard
In response to a growing need for timely, actionable insights, Arlington ISD partnered with CC Solutions to launch a new TSI Readiness Dashboard. This tool helps district and campus leaders monitor student progress toward Texas Success Initiative (TSI) benchmarks—key indicators of college readiness—by organizing students into specific readiness categories based on TSIA, SAT, and ACT scores. The dashboard updates in real time, enabling teams to deliver targeted support to students who are close to meeting benchmarks. It’s a practical example of how data can be used to drive postsecondary success.

Crowley ISD Shares Vision at State of the District Event

Crowley ISD recently hosted its annual State of the District event, where Superintendent Dr. Michael McFarland outlined the district’s bold vision for 2030. The event also marked the debut of the district’s “Future Ready Student Ambassadors,” a student leadership initiative led by Dr. Tonni Grant. The ambassadors inspired district leadership and community members with their forward-looking focus on preparing students for the future. Crowley ISD’s approach reflects a broader shift toward empowering students not just to succeed in school—but to lead.

Looking Ahead
As the 2024–2025 school year enters its final stretch, the focus remains on finishing strong. Across Texas, districts are proving what’s possible when innovation, leadership, and data come together in service of students. At Economic Mobility Systems and CC Solutions, we’re proud to be a part of that momentum—and we’re excited to keep building on it.
