Lively Panel Discussions at EMS Summer 2022 Lunch and Learn
This summer’s Lunch and Learn session, presented by Economic Mobility Systems, featured informative and lively discussions with educational leaders from across North Texas on an array of timely topics, including mapping the student journey, managing enrollment with Salesforce, and improving college readiness.
The session, which took place at the Dallas College Garland Center on July 20, is part of an ongoing series of learning summits hosted by EMS for educators and community leaders focused on improving college and workforce outcomes across Texas.
More than 200 participants gathered to hear presenters and panelists discuss their experiences using innovative, equity-building technologies to address many of the pressing issues facing educators today as they help more of their students successfully navigate their K-12 to postsecondary journeys and beyond.
Welcoming attendees, EMS Board Chair Dr. Jeannie Stone remarked:

Student Journey Mapping for Red River Promise:
Red River Promise Leader Melinda Carroll, of North Central Texas College, sat down with Dr. Anabel Juarez to discuss project work mapping the student journey from 8th grade to a good living wage job, building on the development of student personas to inform smart communications and support strategies.
Enterprise Salesforce Approach to the Full Student Life Cycle at Dallas College:
Dallas College’s Enrique Bernal presented how the college, a key partner in Dallas County Promise, is utilizing the Salesforce CRM platform to strategically manage enrollment, including details of the tool development and data sharing.
Texas College Bridge: Solving College Readiness across K12 and Higher Ed:
Travis Hill of Mesquite ISD and Dr. Noureen Khan of UNT Dallas participated in a panel with Dr. Eric Ban and Dr. Tonni Grant to discuss their respective approaches to Texas College Bridge and making college readiness data work across partners.
College and Career Success for All at Dallas ISD:
Closing the session, Dr. Brian Lusk, Chief of Strategic Initiatives for Dallas ISD presented the district’s strategic plan for college readiness, including data and system designs and change management with power user engagement.
