Job Overview
Economic Mobility Systems is seeking a Director of Data Integration Systems, who is self-directed, passionate about student outcomes, and excited about working in a start-up environment. This role will lead data integrations of school district, higher education, and state data to track student progress to and through college and into the workforce, ensuring successful outcomes.
This position reports to the Chief Technology Officer. It plays a key role in ensuring that Economic Mobility Systems realizes its vision to expand the use of equity platforms (1) to help school districts plan and execute a college and career strategy through user centered design that empowers students to own their data and create their narrative (2) activates data for educators and administration to better case-manage and monitor progress toward equitable outcomes.

 

Key Responsibilities
Systems and Products
  • Lead all data integration components of College and Career Solutions (CC Solutions) implementations for district partners and Region Talent Networks implementations for higher ed partners
  • Utilize flexible and scalable ETL data integration tools
  • Recommend short-and-long-term technology and operational strategies, including product enhancements and tool selections.
Data Management and Reporting
  • Serve as the central point for integrating data from varied sources to ensure seamless student tracking
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, accuracy, and accessibility as well as student privacy and data security
 
Operations & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Work with district, higher ed, and third-party partners’ technical teams to successfully execute data-sharing agreements
  • Provide data integration related documentation for ongoing operational and technical support
Qualifications & Experience
  • 5+ years  IT experience
  • Certified MuleSoft with 3 or more years of experience
  • Experience with Salesforce integrations
  • Experience with ETL, SQL, and database architecture
  • AWS experience, prefer certification
  • Experience developing and maintaining data integrations
  • Understanding of data models and table structures for educational SIS or ERP systems
  • Prefer experience working in K-12, higher education, or education nonprofits
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, advanced degree preferred or equivalent experience.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
  • Expertise with designing and deploying platform tools and dashboards
  • Love of data! Experience with data collection and facilitation of information
  • Extremely strong organization and project management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with several stakeholder groups including executive-level leadership

  • Ability to produce quality work under tight deadlines
