Sr. Director Post-Secondary Student Success

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and mission-driven Sr. Director Post Secondary Student Success. This leader will lead cross-sector efforts to increase college enrollment and completion among high school graduates and returning learners across the region. This role will convene higher education institutions, school districts, and community organizations to develop and implement regional strategies that expand access to postsecondary education, especially for students in lower income communities and adults with no credential or some college but no degree.

Key Responsibilities:

Regional Convening and Collaboration

  • Facilitate regular convenings of North Texas higher education institutions, K-12 leaders, and community partners.
  • Build and sustain collaborative relationships with Higher Ed institutions across the region.
  • Promote shared goals and collective action to improve postsecondary access and success.

Strategic Planning and Implementation

  • Lead the development of regional strategies to increase college-going rates among high school graduates and returning learners in Dallas County.
  • Support institutions in aligning outreach, enrollment, advising, and wraparound services with regional priorities.
  • Working with IHE’s, identify and share bet practices for returning learner re-engagement and credential attainment.

Data-Informed Decision Making

  • Analyze regional data and identify opportunities for partners to collaborate to increase college-going and completion rates.
  • Collaborate with institutional research teams and regional data collaboratives to monitor progress and outcomes.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders, funders, and policymakers.

Community Engagement and Communication

  • Develop outreach strategies to engage students and families and adult learners.
  • Represent the region at statewide and national convenings, conferences, and forums.
  • Promote regional initiatives through media, events, and stakeholder communications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree in education, public administration, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in higher education, and/or K-12.
  • Proven ability to lead collaborative initiatives and convene stakeholders across various functions.
  • Strong understanding of postsecondary access, adult education, and student success strategies.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and project management skills.
  • Experience using data to inform strategy and drive impact.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with the North Texas education and workforce landscape.
  • Experience working with adult learners or re-engagement initiatives.
  • Experience in nonprofit leadership.
