Dallas College

Dallas College

One of the largest community colleges in Texas, Dallas College was a key partner in the coalition that launched the Dallas County Promise in 2018, to help more Dallas County students complete college and begin careers. Following the program’s initial success, leadership wasted no time in asking, “What more can we do to reach our goals of more equitable college and career outcomes?” Since then, the EMS team has supported Dallas College in designing and managing one of the largest student case management implementations in the country, focused on the full student journey. Today, EMS continues to work as a thought partner to develop strategies and plans that harness the full power of student case management technology — supporting students from the pre-collegiate experience through recruitment, enrollment, admissions, retention, and persistence to completion and beyond, whether transferring to a four-year college or going directly into the workforce. Most recently, the team has been focused on Dallas College’s Career-Connected Learner Network with new strategies for employer engagement and career matching. Parts of that effort, for example, have involved using case management tools to optimize community partner relationships and uniting all of Dallas College’s seven campuses with one system for employer inquiries.
